Sponge Joe Circle Hat

                                           Sponge Joe Circle Hat
                                                                  By Brett Huslig

Sponge Joe Circle Hat lives in Camolandia. Joe is the only Circle Hat that doesn't fit in at Camolandia. He is a very hairy Circle Hat. All the other Circle Hats have very little hair. Joe is always being bullied and pushed out when he tries to be social. After a long time of going through this he started having thoughts of going away from Camolandia to some place he would fit in. One night he was at a fighting match that was the Toads versus the Birds. He was being bullied and he couldn't take it anymore and he decided to walk in front of someones T-Car. They swerved and missed him and the people that were bullying him laughed at him as he walked away. Events like these happened for a few more days and then one of the popular girl Circle Hats started to be nice to him and started to ask him if he wanted to start hanging out with her. Joe thought long and hard about this because what would a Circle Hat that was that popular want from him. He finally thought about it long enough that she started to get worried about him and started talking to him on a regular basis. Over the months their friendship grew and they became good friends. Then one day,  Joe didn't show up to Circle Hat High School and nobody really noticed that he was gone. A week passed and nobody had seen him and the Girl started to get worried. She called him over and over but he never answered his shell phone. Finally she decided to go to Joe's hut and when she opened the door it was deserted. Joe was gone. The door closed behind her when she walked in and when she turned around she saw a note on the door and it read "Dear best pal, I know we are friends and all but I can't take this anymore, it's too much for me, I had to go. I hope you understand. Sincerely Joe" She started to cry and she went back to tell everyone the news and when she told them they all were really sad.

Outlaws Baseball

                                          Outlaws Baseball

                                                                       By Brett Huslig

Baseball with the Outlaws was a good experience. The Outlaws are a local baseball team that plays 15 and under. We got 7th at state but we had one heck of a season. Our biggest guy, Jarrett, broke his arm at a football camp so he missed half the season. I played catcher, outfield, and pitcher. We had 8 pitchers that took turns pitching. We had practices on the college field with the college players a few times. For our last practice we had a Dinger Derby. I got 3rd place with 3 home runs. The winner had 6.

At State we got 7th place. The games were close but we couldn't pull in the last few runs. In the final game I had 13 strike outs when I was pitching, 3 catches in the outfield, and the bases were loaded, 3 balls, 2 strikes, and 2 outs. I hit a slow roller into left field and everyone scored and I stayed on second. Now the score was 6-7, we were down by one. When the next pitch was thrown, I took off for third and the catcher threw it to third. I dove head first and was safe. The tying run at third and the best hitter on the team is up to the plate. He smashes one out past the left fielder, I scored, he made it to third. Next batter struck out, end of inning. Next inning, they score, we don't, games over.

We ended State with a good game. We went 29-31 this season. Our last game of the season started at 11:00 AM and ended at 2:30 PM. It was a 3 and a half hour game and we all were exhausted. We had to stay at the field for pictures and to have a talk with Coach. We talked about if we will have the team next year because most of us are old enough to play for the Junior Legion team and play for the High School here. We finally decided to just wait for next year to decide if we will have the team again or not.

Hour of Code

                                         Hour of Code

Hour of Code is boring. All you do is try to move your characters. The Hour of Code lags. It's slow. Once you complete everything, there's nothing to do. The characters are for 3 year olds. The puzzles are for 13 year olds. You should be able to customize your characters. It is dumb. I don't like it. It is boring. The videos are annoying. The "games" are boring. The people that made it need to improve it, a lot. I think Hour of Code is pointless.

What I'm Thankful For

                   What I'm Thankful For

I'm thankful for Faith, Family, and Baseball. I'm thankful for Faith because mankind wouldn't exist without God. God sent his only Son to Earth to sacrifice his life to save us. God loves us enough to sacrifice his only Son to save us. If that's not love, then what is? Family is second because it's the second greatest thing you can have. Family makes us feel loved when we are sad. Even though we fight, we are still Family. I want you to think about, what if the most annoying person in your Family died, would you be sad? Think about that. I put Baseball third because I have played it since I've been able to walk which is about 13 years. I usually play catcher but I have played every position for at least an entire season. These are the things I'm thankful for.

Cargo-Bot

                                      Cargo-Bot

Cargo-Bot gets boring after you've played it for a little bit. All you do is try to arrange boxes. There's no point in it. The tutorial is challenging. For everyone that I know, the tutorial took 20 minuets. There's only 6 levels in the tutorial and it takes forever. The music is terrible. If they update it, they need to make it so you can turn off the music and play your own music. The "imposable" levels are easier than the "easy" levels. Cargo-Bot takes forever to load.

Hopscotch

                                              Hopscotch

My experience with the Hopscotch app. The Hopscotch app is sometimes confusing. On Hopscotch they need to make the option of changing your background. To change your background you have to put a giant colored trail behind a bird and do a bunch of other stuff. They need to have the option to change the background before the presentation starts. They need more characters on Hopscotch. They only give you a few characters to work with. They also need to make it so you can customize your characters. Hopscotch is frustrating sometimes. If you want to have a character do the same thing multiple times you have to tell it to do that. There needs to be an option of copying a motion instead of doing it all over and over manually. I don't like to use Hopscotch if i don't have to.
